Is it retractable? That'd be one way to stop your buddy's uncontrolled ascent...just thinking.
Yes, It retracts with enough force to yank a 49 Chevrolet Pickup out of the mud....

Contact a snorkel restoration specialist, stat!
Dear Dork Divers,
My snorkel is Day-Glo Yellow, but has faded, can you tell me:
Am I going to die?
Do I have to have a new snorkel to join Dork Divers?
I don't really want to, because I nearly lost him once, We were doing a backroll entry and he lost his grip. I was looking for his "OK" sign, but he didn't surface after the entry. It was scary for a while, we found him on the bottom. :nailbiter: Luckily, he made a full recovery!
Sincerely,
Seaduced
Ah, come on Princess! This is a guy! Guys don't contact specialists!!!!! (Well at least not until they have tried to do it themselves and messed something up even worse first!) Phew! WHAT ARE you thinking!! It's a good thing we love everybody here, or somebody would probably flame you for a comment like that!
Don't worry seadude, we got your 6. If you follow the advice here you'll be alright.
First of all, to be a ddiver, any old snorkel will do, however, if you want to advance a little bit, (Oh BTW you really need to send $35 to Teamcasa for an O2 clean sticker for your snorkel) there is a very simple DIY modification.
Get some reflective tape and wrap it around the snorkel. Don't wrap it at a 90 degree angle but kind of spiral it so it can go all the way down the snorkel. Even better if you can get 3-4 different colors and make it look like one of those candycanes that Wal-Mart sells at Christmas time. This also makes it easy to find on the bottom by just shining a light on it.
You should use better quality duct tape sold at Home Depot to attach it more securely to your mask. You can pick it up on the way out after buying your boltsnaps there.![]()
Goodness, what was I thinking???
Is there a way for me to retract my suggestion?
Duct tapes? That's for neophytes!!!
Paint markers, baby!!!
