September in Curacao - you'll break a sweat while standing still, but the water is a calm and cozy 29C/84F! Perfect for the freedom of diving in a rashie and boardies (for most of us ).

Underwater conditions and marine encounters have been nothing short of mind blowing lately. If you can survive the surface interval heat, you'll love diving here this time of year.

We saw a big Souther ray at Plata Hundu and a brown seahorse yesterday. Sorry no pics, just memories. Looking for frogfish.

Looking ahead to Sat - Mon, no wind expected. Going to sweat alot.

Today is the 45th Anniversary of the Superior Producer's sinking! Curacao's Iconic Shipwreck!

"At 16:30 – three hours after cast-off on Thursday September 30, 1977 – the MV Superior Producer disappeared below the waves and into the turquoise depths about 150 meters (500ft) from shore."

To celebrate we went for a little dive there today! Hardly any current and super warm water :)

Excuse my absence lately - I've been blowing bubbles! The water still hasn't started cooling down yet, but I'm starting to see signs that it's imminent. Prepare to bring your shorties with you if you agree 28C/82F is chilly ;-)

In the meantime, here are some of our latest pictures from night and day dives!

Now through March/April is busier above the water, but you can still find peace below! They heavy rain showers we have been seeing this week make the visibility Caribbean bad - so about 20m/70ft most places - but that should clear up soon too! Good time to search for smaller critters and practice navigation ;-)

I was there last weekend, and not super impressed with the viz then either -- was that mostly due to rain? Water was actually crystal clear near the beach at the Marriott, but the dives were all hazy.
