Does anybody know if I subscribe and get DAN insurance here in the US, can I transfer my policy to a Canadian address when I move at the end of the year?

I don't see why not. Most people get DAN insurance for dive trips not close to home. Give them a call.

Def concur with contacting DAN. I have had great success in asking questions and getting answers from them. Dont waste time here.
