Helium is our friend. Unfortunately it's gotten very hard to find in some areas. I asked the local tech guy about blending me some 30/30 for a dive on the Radeaux in Lake George this summer and we never even got to talking about cost. It's just about impossible for him to get.
 
Kind of hot water (re)discovery. Especially for reb divers who have to move gas by lungs and not mantaining a slight depression in the mouthpiece to be fed gas ...

In fact the most recent piece of bibliography is 2015 and the oldest 1973 ....
 
I highly recommend this video on the topic at hand. Detailed explanation, stats and real-life examples included. I personally limit myself to 5g/l.
