Yeah, gotta hand it to you Scott.
Not many would try diving in Puget Sound in a 3mil for a 50min dive...
...and you saw a couple of GPO and other assorted critters on your first dives.
Cool!!!

lundysd:
Redondo (last night) and Cove 2 (today) both had ridiculously good viz -- 40'+ by our accounts. Not too bad for my first dives in the Sound :) (in a 3 mil wetsuit I might add...)

Ya know, they do thangs a little differnt up thar in Seattle than they do down thar in Texas....like stay warm! Wasn't it a great dive though!

Titlow was about 25 today with Sunnyside a little lower at about 20.

So unfortunately we missed the really good vis.

Still both dives were fun and we saw a decent size GPO in it's layer at the Sunnyside pipe

Well the good vis days are over ... at least for a while.

Redondo was back to the "normal" vis tonight ... 10-12 feet ...

Yeah! I think the good viz is over for a bit. Especially with the highs into the 90's this weekend...

If you all want to reflect about the vis, I posted a thread with pictures from the Bandito charter we did over the weekend..... I think we will all remember that “Week in July 06".....

Dang I wanted to get wet last weekend. But had to help someone pack. Well since I did not dive “Week in July 06"..... I will not miss it. Any one plan to dive this Saturday. The tides look brutal.

Bummer that I missed it. I tagged along with my local shop's AOW class to the San Juans this weekend. Vis was about 20ft. I'll post a thread about the trip. It was the best of times, it was the worst of times... ;)

This thread was about to fall off the first page of the forum . . . I'm diving tomorrow at Cove 2 . . . anyone care to report how good (errr, bad) the viz has been lately?
