What is the deepest you have seen at NS. I know the trench is more than 25' but VERY cold even in September. It is like a sheet of ice.

We missed getting to see you! Surface temp was 60 degrees (to 18 feet...Ted) with 52 below the thermocline. Visibility was pretty good to, 30+ feet in most spots, I wish I had taken my camera!

I would have loved to have been there! But, I had to go out to Mom and Dad's in the morning, then wound up doing yardwork later in the afternoon. I'm glad it's warmin' up though!

One of the dives this weekend I hit 28 feet, and my dive buddy, Steve, reported 29'. That was down in the trench. It was 52 in the trench, I don't think that qualifies as VERY cold!

Nay 52 isn't cold!

Deepest I've found there is 30 ft right under the platform.

One of my students said he found 32' but he was giggling when he said it. I asked what he had done and he'd pushed his depth gauge down into the mud...sigh.

Side note: My husband said there are a bunch of old bottles buried in the mud at NSR. He said they used to reach down into the mud and go bottle hunting years ago.

Heh... Heh... Heh...

That's 30 feet with my console buried up to the pressure gauge ... your student must have L-O-N-G arms! :D:
