Curious--Is this making Palos Verdes diving better or worse?

I have serious doubts about the validity of the claims in the article. The shoreline in that area changes all the time. I have seen a sandy beach at Marineland, then cobble and boulders, then boulders that are dangerous to cross. The underwater terrain at the PV club in question is rocky. I wonder if there was more erosion or if the photo was taken at low tide. Either way, it will be a sandy beach again by next year.
