hey everyone,
looks like my whole family is heading to varedero, cuba in february for a bit, im taking my own gear but im trying to figure out what i need for a wetsuit around there that time of year, anyone that could offer some advice would be greatly appreciated. i have only dove in nova scotia, and my 7mil 2 piece isnt going to do me much good in cuba.
thanks

3mm full

i'd say 3mm full or shorty should be enough. I had a 3 mm shorty in the southern part of Cuba earlier this year (jan 27- feb 03) and never got cold. Water was around 79F.

CubaDiving = 3mm full ( for me )

Not for water temperature but for protection against stings and accidental coral burns.

I'm also wearing gloves for the same reason and occasional wreck diving cut.

But I think you could leave the hood at home :D

Enjoy your trip !!!!:14:... and don't forget your camera :wink:

and LOTS of $1 bills for tips...
