Hi fellow divers!

Recently i have had some bad experiences with my Cressi BCD and I would like to share this information to save others from the same problems.
The vest I have is a wonderful vest, it dives great and looks awesome.
The amount of D-rings and its huge bladder capacity offering great buoyancy at the surface are exactly what I need as an active Instructor.

Unfortunatly the vest is now less than one year old and the fabric is tearing and fraying, the bladder leaks and the weight pockets handles have broken off. Having made about 400 dives on the vest this is WAY TOO SOON!!

Cressi being great looking and well designed equipment obviously chose to use cheap materials that do not necessarily meet the same durability standards as other brands.

I treat my equipment with respect, being a role model I have to give a good example, equipment care, rinsing, drying,.....its all part of the trade!
I have contacted Cressi about these problems and I'll update this thread when I hear something from them!

Buy smart, don't buy a Cressi Backjac 2012!

Have you heard back at all on this? I have a Cressi Light-Jac and the weight pocket handles have broken after only about 15 dives. This rather amazes me that it broke so fast. I had a weight pocket fall out today while diving, good thing I was near the bottom of the lake when it did as I was able to find it and bring it back up with me. The plastic handle broke allowing the weight to move around eventually popping the lock out and it fell out. I was rather stunned to see this break so fast.

Anyone else have this issue?
