I have a Cressi Back Jac BCD that only has one strap to hold the tank. I'm looking at mounting a pony bottle to the tank using Zeagle straps, but it requires two for better stability. Has anyone changed out their backplate on the Cressi to allow for two straps?

I think this would make the pony bottle more stable and also make the main tank more stable also. Or has anyone added a pony bottle using just the one strap?

Thanks for any input.

If you are set on back mount bailout...the Trident quick draw works very well on one strap. I have one and use it when spearing. I don't have the Cressi, but bp/w with 2 tank straps. Half of the mount stays with your main tank strap, the other half on the pony tank and are retained by pins. Very easy to remove for tank swaps.

Thanks for the info. I'll look into it.
