I think you mean 80 pesos (about $7.50 US) each way for the ferry to PDC, which seems like what about what we paid last summer.
QUOTE]

No, what I mean is 40 pesos, about $4us for a round trip ticket. This was last week and I have the tickets in front of me. Again, this was a special to celebrate some sort of anniversary and they didn't know how long it would last. I know what the regular prices are (we go there regulalry) and I know what I paid this time. IT IS A SPECIAL PRICE!

:) did I stutter?? ;)

I wasn't correcting you, Amy. I saw that you paid a special price, and I have no reason not to believe you.

The previous post said 800 pesos; and I believe the normal price is about 80 pesos. It was probably just somebody's typo. It's no big deal; I just thought I'd clear it up and let people know what the price is normally.

I'm sure most would have figured out on their own that the ferry ride isn't seventy-two to seventy-seven dollars each way. I guess the teacher in me just couldn't help correcting an error. ;)

I no longer see the post that stated 800 pesos. They probably corrected the typo on their own. Or maybe I misread someone else's post. I can see, however, how you'd think I was correcting you (Amy) now that I look back on the thread.

Aye, there's the rub. You should probably quote the post to which you are replying; yours came up right behind hers, so it looked like you were contradicting her.

Point well taken, ggun.

I have not seen that(PITA) used for sometime ,please refresh me on what it stands for.
P stands for "Pain", I stands for "In", T stands for "The", and I'm sure you can figure out what the A stands for.

The one I can't figure out is IIRC.

OOOhhhh, you're right. Got to love this internet chatting... I think alot gets 'lost in translation' at times. I wasn't upset (per say) just feeling.... well... maybe I'm sensitive about my blond moments. ;) Anyway... no harm done and yes... good to let everyone know the regular price too! :) Thanks

If I recall correctly.

Amish Milkman:
We are going June 13-21, 2005. Me, wife and kids 13 & 17. Also 1st time to Coz. Were thinking about Caribe Blu, but decided on El Cid. Let me know how the Caribe Blu was. Also any fun, extra, family things to do.

Hey Amish,

I know you'll have a wonderful time in Cozumel. I tell my wife all the time, we've made 22 trips down there, that one of these days I'm not coming back and I mean it. May I STRONGLY suggest that you go to Google and look up TripAdvisor. It may be TripAdvisor.com. Not sure though. They will give you excellent feedback from people who have traveled to Cozumel recently and which hotel they stayed in. El Cid used to be called the LaCeiba Hotel. How do I put this, ... I cant recommend it and I've stayed there. In that price range, you could stay at the Fiesta Americana and DEFINITELY have a much nicer experience. Also at El Cid, the beach is nice but is now literally TAKEN OVER by all the cruise folks who for some reason feel entitled and act like it.

As far as fun things to do, rent a jeep and cruise the island. Go into the old city of Cedral and buy some nice jewelry. Downtown shops I would recommend are Cinco Soles and Viva Mexico. See the other side of the island, it is my favorite. It is still wild and untamed over there. The Caribbean Sea is beautiful. Explore, relax and have a six pack. But, by all means, even if you aren't a diver, get on a boat and see the island from the water. I promise that when you leave you'll be thinking about how and when you can return.
