Ok so I have hit most of the dive hot spots in the caribean.
But for me there has always been something special about Cozumel.
even with all the changes. It is still the Island that I love!

I always have the feeling of coming home every time I arrive.
it must be the people. I have met so many and made many freinds over the years.
I cant amagine a year without at least two trips.

Yes Cozumel is special isn't it ? I love it as well. Anybody ever dive with Blue Angel Divers ? They have small small fast boats. When no else can go out, they can because of the size and speed of their boats, so I'm told. I saw them in action when I was down there in June 05. They beat everyone to the southern reefs. I think I am going to give them a try next time I go to Cozumel and give Dive Paradise a break. It's been 5 years in a row now with them. They are cool, and I know all the divemasters and reefs, but a change might give me a different perspective on other operations there. Oh well, hope they are all safe down there with Emily coming and all.

I have dived with them on my last two trips; they are very good and economical as well.

Their boats are pretty much like those of all the rest of the small boat ops on Cozumel. When the weather gets rough, the small fast boats (like Blue Angel's) are actually the first to be kept from going out. To go out or not is not a judgement call on the part of the op, but an order from the Cozumel harbor master, and on a moderately rough day, only the large boats are allowed out. Speed of the boat is, I'm pretty sure, not a factor.

Having just returned the 2nd from a 15 day trip I am already missing my second home.
I pray everyone is Ok tonight. We all have so many great friend's there.

I couldn't agree more! It seems that some folks have gotten a bad taste in their mouth about all the changes over the years, face the facts, this can't be helped.
I love that little island and really have very little desire to go to many other places in the Caribbean.

Olfactory memories - the smell of warm, humid air with just a hint of wood smoke that hits you when they open the doors to the airplane - sweet perfume!
