better have some shore activities planned if you go in Jan/Feb timeframe....that's when El Norte's blow in, and the resulting high winds (generating high waves) will shut down your scuba diving as the vast majority of Coz dive boats are too small to go out in anything but the calmest seas. You might get lucky and get a trip squeezed in between successive El Norte's, but then again, maybe not...just sayin'.
 
I have went several times in January and February. While its true the Nortes can shut you down, it is usually only a day or two. Often times the port will open up later in the morning or afternoon and you can get out then.

+1. Got shut down by nortes last Jan during a cruise stop with the family. It was the third day in a row that no dive boats were going out of the calleta. :(
