Wife and I in Coz Jan 14-18. Staying in town I'm diving with Raul www.bottomtimedivers.net but wife is a land lover. Anyone else be there? We can meet and tell tall tales!

Lou

I will in Cozumel Jan. 7 - 22. If you want to come by the house and check on my renovations feel free. We can always walk down the street and have dinner. If you're interested PM me for directions to the house.

Hi Lou,

Paul and I will not be there then but are trying for Feb. Let us know how everything is down there.

Nan

I was there mid Dec. and could not believe how fast the cleanup went. The streets were cleaned up and the utility poles have been replace. Everywhere you look there was repair work going on. The great people of Cozumel did not sit around waiting for someone else to come and do the work, they got busy and deserve a round of applause (as well as the return of tourist dollars). The reports by some news organizations were greatly exaggerated and the people of Cozumel are suffering from it.
Yes the big Resorts south of town may not be open for a few more months but there are still many rooms from $30-$250 a night available. Make your plans now because pretty soon this word will get out to the tour operators and the prices will start going up!
Nancy and I will be there again Feb. 11-19 if that helps with your plans.

Lou

From what you describe Feb. should be no problems in Cozumel. Thats good. Paul and I are trying to finalize the dates with our bosses. What a pain when we both work for ------- shall we not say it.

We (locals) are expecting just about everything with only a few hotel exceptions to be almost completely back to normal by February with most piers being rebuilt and many more hotels open by then.
