- can i use several luxfer trade-in certificates to buy one tank, or is it one certificate per new tank? Luxfer isnt very clear about this.

-anyone know of any dive shops in New England that are doing pallet-load shipments? i think I missed to boat on this one but I recall hearing there were some who were collecting them into batches to save thier customers a little on shipping.

I got some nastly old tanks and cant decide if its worth screwing around with trading them in or if i should just run them until no one including my buddy with a compressor will fill them any more.

It is your call, but there is a reason Luxfer is buying back its old AL tanks.

Just as there is a reason the DOT has issued a safety notice on these tanks.

That reason, there have been more than one tank explode! Is the money worth losing a hand or leg over as some have done?

Depending upon many factors, including how may times these tanks have had hot fills, they may last you many more years, or maybe not. The only way to know for certain is when they blow. The true question is, what is true value of these old tanks? Are they worth an arm or leg or worse? What is the value of $50.00 off a brand new tank, and many more years of use?
