that skipped service probably kicked you out of the parts for life program which would explain why the cost doubled.

Service manuals and in the brochure from SP( the thing no one reads when you buy new regs) says to service them once per year OR each 200 dives! Correct me if i am wrong

We had a mk25 in with 4000+ dives and no servicing and kept going. So regs can stand a lot if they are being taken care off! I don't advise you stepping over the limits like that!
