Thanks for info everyone. I started to wonder what the going rate was while I as at one shop paying $12.99 with tax for 32% (this LDS does not offer a Nitrox Air Card) and looking through California Diving News and I see another LDS offering 10 fills for $55.00.

Hey Mark,

Empire Scuba in Redlands- any mix up to 40%- $10

Mark

I have to agree with Mark as far as shops go Empire has about the best I have seen.

I though mix my own for about $2.00/fill ;)

granted mixing your own has its large intital costs but once you have the basics it don't cost much

Hollywoodivers: $8/fill, 32%-40%.
Nitrox card: $75 (10 fills)

Kevfin:
Hey Mark,

Aloha in Woodland Hills/Northridge charges:

Nitrox Fill - 32% $10.00
Nitrox Fill - 36% $12.00
Nitrox Fill - 40% $15.00
Nitrox Fill - 50% $20.00

If that works, you could drop it off on your lunch break and pick it up on your way home.

*Not sure what a fill card costs... but, I imagine it will bring the cost down a bit.

Hope that helps,

Kevin
Their fill cards are $80, if memory serves. I have one, but use it only rarely because they do PP fills, and I have no interest in maintaining an o2 clean tank. Actually, I think their Northridge shop has a Stik system, but I have had a couple of bad experiences where they say they'll run it to the Northridge shop and have it back the next day, and 4 days later I go by to pick it up and they haven't gotten around to sending it over yet. Back to Hollywoodivers!

Dive n Surf will begin pumping banked 32 and 36% sometime in July. Fill cards are on sale until the end of September for $99, which comes to $8.33 per tank.
Pacific Wilderness uses a membrane system, but can give you any mix. Nitrox is $14 there.

I've used both Channel Islands Scuba in T.O. and Hollywoodivers for nitrox fills for my HP non-O2 clean tanks. When I called around, Ocean Adventures in Venice also said they did nitrox fills for non-O2 clean tanks. You should call the stores for current prices. I go by traffic conditions, drive time and distance more than fill cost when deciding where to get a nitrox fill

In Ventura, the Peace boat does HP nitrox fills on board (membrane system, so any current tank works), whereas the Spectre does not have nitrox available

There seems to be some price difference so when one fills 2-3 tanks it can easily add up and may worth the drive a little further. Also some dive shops may charge different rates depending on the size of the tank.

To add to your list Eco Center in Culver City and Dive N Surf in Redondo beach also do Nitrox fills for non O2 clean tanks
