before thinking about making a career out of diving you should try it first. It is very wet down there !!! . No, seriously, although it is the most amazing thing, it is not for everybody.
Do a Discover Diving or Open water course, do few dives and try to picture yourself doing that 2-4 times a day 6 days a week, plus filling tanks, dealing with customers, loading the boat, unloading the boat...and most important: taking care of people underwater. One thing is diving for fun and a very different thing is diving in charge of a group of customers.
If you really love it, take the rest of the courses one by one.
There are plenty of job opportunities to work in beautiful tropical destinations.
In my case a couple of languages were enough to get few jobs around the world. But I have worked with MANY dive masters and dive instructor that only speak English.
You won´t be rich, you will pay your bills and have a great time.
