I'm not a transmitter guy, so I'm not sure on that piece. Here's an example of how I run them (granted it's with a gauge).

I figure as long as your transmitter connects, having it pointed down-ish should protect it more.

I took your suggestion and the connection is good and the routing is perfect!

I found this old thread because I’m dealing with the same general problem, only I am trying to run a HP hose under my left arm and a LP hose for the inflator over the left shoulder... without undue criss- crossing of said hoses. I’ve been living with the “problem” lo these 3 decades, then noticed a long unused C-22 reg in my box had the fifth port. Conshelf 22 for the win!
