I can change either name and either person can still keep all their PMs and such. Would either of you like me to do this for you?

OK John came to me and picked a new name. There is happiness in the world again. :balloon

:D

thanks Natasha for resolving this....now scubaMan62 can coexist with scubaguy62 and no copyright laws are broken....I hope this is satisfactory to scubaguy62....of course I will still keep my msn name as I'v had the copyright on that for a few years now...lol....so keep on wishing waterdaughter good tidings and engage her in meaningful dialogue on woman's issues in scubadiving...don't ask her about the lack of adequate woman's sizing in gear here in London...it may start a whole new thread...ciao for now..J>"scubaMan62"

Darn it Natasha, I hate that work had to intrude in my abilities to respond quicker to your post. While I am glad that peace still exists, I am troubled with the perception that it was lost at all, so in light of that, please allow me to offer my thoughts.

While I freely admit to be zealous and passionate about the people and things I hold dear, I am also a proactive, objective, and reasonable man, and I consider myself (and those who know me personally will agree) a fun and cheerful individual, as well as a competent diver. With that in mind, John did not have to change his screen name. At the time of my post, I hadn't consider the possibility of a typo, nor did I consider the possibility of John's screen name in MSN being scubaguy62, because, in all fairness, all I had available with which to form an opinion was an apparent hijacking (for lack of a better term) of my screen name. That's all. If my passion and zealousness over the preservation of my screen name inferred any type of animosity, for that I offer my apologies. There wasn't then, nor there will be any animosity; just a mere attempt to ensure the prevention of possible future confussion.

Once again, congratulations on your OW Cathy. I will share with you that had my wife and I been scubaboard members at the time she got her OW, I also would have posted a thread in praise of her accomplishment, as I did in praise of the woman she is to me and how much I value her!

Thanks both Rick and John. I'm glad things worked out. Waterdaughter is very happy with the responses to this thread, and now asked that I close it.
