Thanks, I already ordered a pack of ten yesterday from Mcmaster Car. I had to do some research just to find that it was a 12-24 thread. That is one thread gauge I didn't have.

I didn't use the flash (internal) so cannot make comment about the shadow. I did crop the pictures quite substantially, which just goes to show how crisp the focus is. I am really impressed.
I did very little post production using the canon software that came with the camera. I shot in raw and just tweaked the sharpness a bit. The manual white balance made sure that the colours were pretty true.
This really is an excellent little camera!
