AAAH I forgot the question...Oh yeah, keeping warm. We use the heater in the car on shore dives, hair dryer with car adapter and the hot tube back in the hotel to prepare for tomorrow and drink Gatorade and take cell salts (bioplasma). Be careful though the hot tub can be dehydrating so drink the sports drink.

Okay now, its getting kinda rowdy out here. Maybe it is safer in MOF-land!

Come dive Minnesota. Got the picture from another board.

DD I'm cold just looking at it.

...... Someday, I will dive in a dry-suit hopefully. I hear Vancouver is beautiful. those giant octopus sound..scarey in poor viz though.

There is a very large one where we dive weekly. Suckers larger than quarters, though I have yet to see it out of it's den. :) Not so scary when they are holed up.

Come in the winter, bring your ski's too ;)

You know, Bjorn, we have non-stops on Aloha from Honolulu....It has to be dry suit though, right? Can you rent those?

Catherine: You can absolutely rent them, though fit will be much better if you own your own suit :) If you do find your way out here, let me know and I can recommend a dive shop or two.

It's interesting as I'm having a very similar discussion with a co-worker who used to instruct in Egypt and Australia before moving to Vancouver. He's now digging out his old regs, bc, etc. to come out and see for himself ;)
