ah, "pre-charge" the wetsuit!

Doc Intrepid:
Of course, you could accomplish the same goal by peeing in it... :D
yea, a lot of our boats do not have heads so the pee issue is paramount. I save up just for that purpose.

catherine96821:
yup. have you ever traipsed around in stilettos? ...guess not. No Birkenstock's for me baby.

I can honestly say that I've never worn stilettos ... let alone traipsed ;)

I prefer to get in the water before peeing in the suit. Don't want it running out on the deck. Plus, a good flush midway through the dive is a temporary core warmer :D

sidenote: Urine is sterile. just knowing that makes me feel better.

I thought it was the warmth that did that ;)

yes, stupid. But there is nothing dirty about urine until it has been sitting on pavement or somewhere. In your wetsuit its just ...an electrolyte solution...like Gatorade. OOOHHH..., feel better I get it! warm, feel better. sorry Jeff. never mind.

this was a perfectly serious and legitimate thread.

and so it was

I was unable to pee in my suit last weekend. Not because of the clean or not clean issue. I was trianed in advanced survival (recycling fluids). It was a very painful swim back my bladder was very cramped. Must have lost a liter afterwards. Haven't been in that much pain since after a surgery and they remove the cath too soon.
