Hello,

DHM recently published a fairly comprehensive and up to date overview of most aspects of decompression sickness and arterial gas embolism (collectively referred to as decompression illness). It was originally written as a book chapter but the book is currently on hold. It will be available on PubMed central but has not quite made it there yet so I have attached it here. It can be freely distributed. Many of the questions that arise on the forum about decompression sickness pathophysiology and treatment are answered, and there is a fairly comprehensive bibliography. Hope you find it useful. I'm the author so am happy to answer any questions that arise in this thread.
