Compass Vs Light?

so the properly way, accordin to DIR, is compass, light on left, computer/deep gauge on right?

yes, compass on left arm (its not used constantly on most dives, and is still useful while scootering)
depth gauge on right (which is used alot and also during ascent when your left arm is venting your wing and so not visible)

The only time there is much of a "conflict" is when navigating exclusively by compass in dark dark (like a sandy beach night dive). Just put the light in your right hand at these rare times.
