I'm still gonna take my chances. We'll see whats up when I get there.

Ok when I got there, it was an instant call off. The seas were horrendous. Easily 6 footers. If not more than that. We literally saw the waves breaking before we even drove into the parking lot. Oh well try again next week I guess.

lol Marvel says I'm cruel for laughing but she didn't have the spyglass... whoever they were, they got pounded and eventually tried to creep into the surf ON THEIR KNEES. They exited the same way... it was like a baaad, saaaad movie. I enjoyed the body surfing.

Here is a pic I caught yesterday of one of the smaller waves. And yes I mean smaller. And even then it had a pipe. This wave was easily a 6 footer. Diving with surf like this is just plain dumb IMHO. So who is up for trying again this weekend if the weather holds up.

Nice pic. Some brave soul actually tried that? I bet that was interesting to watch. I wonder how they braved that south current? It was whipping.

I'm really anxious to get out. Next week though I'm in Tampa.
Hope you get to try those regs. I know about gear fever.

Safe diving:)

Oh well I actually got to try them. I sat at the bottom of a pool for about 2 hours yesterday hehe.
