Due to employment, I'm relocating to Idaho at the end of May 2010. I'll be doing lots of lake diving and wishing for those halcyon SoCal days.

I'm doing Rescue checkout dive on the Great Escape on 15 May, and contemplating going out on 22 May and possibly even 29 May. Hopefully I'll get to see as many of SoCal SBers as possible before I blow out of this joint.

Very sorry to hear - What type of construction engineering do you specialize in? Maybe we can find a reason for you to stay?

Dwayne

I do heavy industrial construction. I'm sure that I can find another job in SoCal but that means giving up the investment I have in establishing my career with my current company and it's not worth giving that up. I'm sure that if something were to come up in SoCal, I'll be back. In the mean times, it's gonna be lake diving time.

HT, You will be missed. I do hope you find a way to visit us from time to time.

We will miss you HT. Come back to visit.

You always "brightened up" any dive you made!

Sorry to hear this. We are spoiled by Socal diving.
I'm in the same boat (figuratively), may have to relocate because of a job.

Check out this lake in the Idaho panhandle (and whatever the US Navy is doing with its Acoustic Research Detachment Division):

Take lots of pictures;) . . .

Hey HT sorry to see you go! I'll miss your bright yellow wetsuit. :) Hopefully you'll get back here and get to dive with us again sometime.

Man HT, I will miss you. It sure was fun diving with you. I hope to join you on the GE May 22, but the 15th is the scuba show and I'll be there. Wishing you well in Idaho and your checkout for Rescue.

HT... isn't that kind of like entering purgatory? Understand the career path decision, but really... Idaho. The lakes are frozen much of the year. I'm sure glad my employer has but one location... Catalina. I just wish he'd pay me so the career choice was worth it!

Good luck in your new assignment.
