Yeah, I read the article (and didn't look at the pictures). I think he was more concerned about the water temp. The article has a brief description of what it feels like- intense pain and heat.
 
And, as I recall, there is a swimming club in Russia that regulary swims in an ice water...
 
He needs a helmet for the icebergs, doesn't he?

Any man that's brave enough to have his picture taken in a speedo at the north pole must have big brass ones. :D
