i love my Clx450 SS, i ordered it in Nov.

Every weekend i suit up i thank god i got the DUI.

I have the rock boots because i do mainly tech dives from the beach in La Jolla where i need good footware.

Software UG are very nice, i had Janice make me the one peice and just last Friday she finished making a 300g vest for me as well. She took my order made the vest and shipped it in 2 days. Now that is customer service at its best. The vest was about $50.

Thanks!

I got my CLX450 about 2 months ago, and I'm sorry to say that other then a pool sesion I have yet to dive in it. I'm headed down to Moorehead City next week for a week of diving and plan on getting good use out of it then. I went with the Turttles and thought they worked quite well with the Rockboots. I highly recomend getting them through Covci. They went out of there way to get them to me on time, after some mfg delays.

I am a proud owner of the DUI CLX450 Dry Suit... have had it for just over two years and love it. I wear the Rock Boots (size 12) with my SP Twin Jets, SP Gull Wings and also the Ziegle Raptors. Have never had a problem.

The Rock Boot system is so neat that I wear them with my wet suit and also just skins for shore diving. DUI makes a neoprene sock to go with the Rock Boots.

But realize that with the CLX 450 and the Rock Boot system, the boots come with the suit. You don't have to wear them; continue using the attached "socks" and wear your regular fins. Your choice!

The experience of a number of my active buddies is that CLX 450 does not wear as well as the TLS 350.

I have heard DUI employees express what I believe is the company line that the CLX 450 is more durable then the TLS 350 but I have not found this not to be true. The CLX 450 is composed of a thicker material but seems to have no benefits over the thinner TLS 350.

A benefit of the TLS 350 over the various neoprene drysuits is that out of the water the TLS 350 dries off very quickly. With neoprene drysuits the suit stays wet and the diver can suffer from evaporative cooling. For Southern California boat trips I stay in my drysuit for the entire trip and normally stay pretty warm, while wetsuit divers and neoprene drysuit divers have
moved inside to get out of the wind, gotten out their drysuit or added an extra layer of clothing over their suit.

Proper Frog Kicks, Helicopter Turns, and backward kicks require flexibilty about the ankle. Rock Boots inhibit this.

Rock Boots are DUI's answer to not having to deal with custom boots on every suit. Prior to Rock Boots, DUI's solution was placing oversized boots on every stock suit. Rock Boots do not enhance your diving although they may enhance your abilty to climb down tall cliffs to your dive site.

For those of you who require a larger foot pocket then the current XL Jet Fin, it seems to be pretty common knowledge that Scubapro is coming out with a version of the fin with a larger foot pocket. Not sure if they are changing the existing XL Jet Fin mold or making a new one.

You must be thinking about boat diving only, right? Just looking at some earlier today, I can't imagine going shore-diving with just the socks.

I ordered the 300 Polartech from DUI for my signature CF200X. But from TJ Software which weight of Fleece should be used for what water temperature?

She said she is not a diver and is not aware of the temperature ratings.

Any of you guys know which one would be most appropriate for what water temperature?

Where did you hear that Scubapro was coming out with a Jet Fin with a larger foot pocket? I would like to know more about it?

Funny - I wrote to ScubaPro (the old fashioned way, with a computer printer and paper) a couple of months ago asking for this very thing, and never heard a thing back. Figured they had treated it like a crank letter and thrown it in the trash :)

Yet to confirm the rumour of larger Jets though.

Any idea if the 300 wt. polartech is too much or water above 60 degrees? If so, is 200 still too much.
