Buy a hard sole zippered 5mm bootie. Hard sole cause they work for all types of dives shore and boat. 5mm cause they are warm enough in most temperatures. Zippered cause when wet they are PITA to get on/off.

Aqualung 5mm safe sole booties puncture resistant @$40 on eBay. I bought them because they have a heel lip to retain my fins in a current but the soles are very well made

I use Altama Rock Boots that got on Bonaire at TDS. Very comfortable, they fit the same foot pocket of wet suit boots and have proven to be durable so far.

I had a similar question and went the DIY way - glued a pair of 6mm rubber soles (cut to size) to a pair of Aqualung Superzip Ergos - works fine with my OMS Slipstream

I used Aquaseal SR - have been diving with them a few times, might not be the prettiest but works great (lava rock etc)

Fourth Element Amphibian boots are great, other than being expensive. They are comfortable enough to be worn as shoes on a dive boat, tough soled enough to work as entry shoes over rocks, and stylish enough to wear to the theater.
