First off, if you get measured properly by someone who knows what he/she is doing the custom fit should be fine. If not, and they allow a slop factor for undergarments or other nonsense that makes the suit baggier than a magnum Trojan, you might want to go somewhere else. The reality of cave cut is that you do so at your own risk...you have to sign a waiver when you order that if the suit ain't right, you are on the hook for it and have to pay for any mods to it. Caveat emptor..

I would try the suit without gaitors first...I don't need them and none of my buddies use them either.

Hey J
when you say rock entry does that mean you are listening to the underwater headphones again ? I ususally listen to classical when I wear my drysuit Hal

Sure sounds better than listening to my exhaust bubbles run by my ear! Glad to see you on here!

I ordered my Clx450 SS last week and can't wait. In addition, I ordered the polartec 300 undies today from SoftWare ... at only $160, it isn't really that much to risk on an unknown company. We'll see how long they both take to get here.

How are they compared to DUI's polartech undies?

I was hoping for more CLX450 owners to reply. But I'm getting the 450 for sure. The only thing is that with the rockboots I won't be able to use my SP Jet Fins. If I wanted to that would mean that I would have to get the turbo soles setup. Not too keen on that.

I spoke with the DUI rep and he tells me that you will still be able to do all the fancy kicks with rockboots too.

I do plan on using my suit for beach dives as well, so rock boots are a must, since I do rock entries a lot.

After much debate, I purchased the DUI CF200 Signature Series Suit, instead of the CLX450. My in depth research led me to this decision that this suit is super tough, long lasting (average CF200 user's are 15+ years, and still going strong).

Material is just strong as heck. I got the all the options I wanted, and even tested it out to see if my Size 10 will fit in my stretch out Jet Fins, and you know what they do, no sweat.

Most of the dry suit divers I have spoken too over the last year, wear nothing but DUI's or Dive Rites, and DUI appears to be the most prominent suit out there.

:)

i love my Clx450 SS, i ordered it in Nov.

Every weekend i suit up i thank god i got the DUI.

I have the rock boots because i do mainly tech dives from the beach in La Jolla where i need good footware.

Andy

Software UG are very nice, i had Janice make me the one peice and just last Friday she finished making a 300g vest for me as well. She took my order made the vest and shipped it in 2 days. Now that is customer service at its best. The vest was about $50.

was supposed to be delivered to the LDS today.

Much like a pimply faced high school freshman on a Friday night , I waited anxiously for "the call". Also much like a pimply faced high school freshman on a Friday night , it never came.

Oh the humanity of it all!
