Dishwasher detergent pods - in our case Cascade Total Clean New and Improved - terrify me. Somebody told me it could be used to clean badly stained coffee pots. I tried it. Stainless pot came out like brand new.

Holy Crap!! We're washing our dishes with that stuff? WTH is in it? I'm afraid I'm going to start glowing in the dark...

Don't know if you'll glow, but you'll be squeaky clean!

Sodium carbonate - caustic, good degreaser - and non-ionic detergent.
