Christmas lights........

My extent of Christmas decorating is putting up the Christmas tree, hanging the stockings, and putting a decorative Christmas "lamp" out on the sofa table. That's it! No lights outside.... though the kids have been begging for them! I don't have any, don't particularly want any, and don't want the electric bill for them either. I know, you all will think I'm scroogy now... but really, I"m not!

Multi-color inside on the tree.
A few white outside on the bushes near the door.

I remember the days of yore when we were in California we experimented with a chrome christmas tree and rotating colored disk in front of the floodlamp. What about blue and pink flock on the trees!
Ahh California in the 60's .
I guess there were people with taste back then too.
We just didn't know any

I do enjoy the tastefully decorated houses with lights, but some people go nuts, then they make movies about it.

The palm trees in the tropics are very cool looking when all lit up for Christmas.
