The Chicago Scuba Meetup is a group of local divers interested in scuba diving, snorkeling and exchanging information about underwater exploration. You can find us on the web at http://scuba.meetup.com/105/about/.

We plan local (and distant!) dive trips and make connections with local dive clubs and shops. Our 2006 trip planning is currently underway; right now we will be at the Our World Underwater, the Ghost Ships Festival, DUI Days at Pearl Lake (June 10-11).

Our next meeting will be held the second week in February. From snorkelers to instructors, from the young to the young-at-heart, all are invited for an evening of good times and good food. Oh, and beer.

Date: February 8
Time: 8PM
Location: Heartland Café, 7000 N. Glenwood, Chicago (there is parking, and it is on the Red Line)

Agenda

1. General welcome, get-to-know-you stuff
2. Members share - photos, trip stuff, tips of the trade, etc.
3. Upcoming events
4. Group trip & training planning
5. How to use Meetup?
6. Other ideas for this group
7. PR & best/worst practices
8. AOB

We hope to see you at our next meeting!
