I loved these pictures and the beautiful story they tell. Creatures often interact with us in the water when we slow down and let them. So many times we rush past them to get to our "spot." (I wonder how old a bass his size is.)

Slow down and smell the fishes.

July and August are the big months in the park for them. Last year I must have had 7 or 8 encounters. Nothing this lingering or intentional as this one. Usually they're just drive bys.
