@Tracy,

I was attempting to distinguish between CCR tech dives that require less dilout, vs. more dilout, than double LP50's (double 7 liters) can accommodate. OP mentioned double 12 liters.

I get that, that would be a pretty massive dive needing D12s for bottom mix in open water. Cave bailout yes, but not open water.

I have a couple of these I'm contemplating

Diving a skinny, tall cylinder on my back (with the bottom sometimes bumping/resting against my derriere) is more comfortable for me than diving a short cylinder (with the bottom sometimes bumping/resting against my lower back). For example, my Faber LP50 (25" tall) baby doubles are much more comfortable for me than my OMS (Faber) LP46 (23" tall) baby doubles. The LP46's give me a backache after a while even though their bottoms are effectively only an inch or so farther up my back.

And the taller cylinders are easier for me to dress into if they're standing, rigged, on a bench (say), and I am able to sit down and back into them.

ETA: I am 6'2".

FWIW,
