I was attempting to distinguish between CCR tech dives that require less dilout, vs. more dilout, than double LP50's (double 7 liters) can accommodate. OP mentioned double 12 liters.

I get that, that would be a pretty massive dive needing D12s for bottom mix in open water. Cave bailout yes, but not open water.
