We are coming in for diving July 10-13 and place to stay fell thru. I researched the web and found either very expensive resorts or cheap hotels known to have bed bugs!
We could stay anywhere from Key Largo to Key West. Beach would be nice.

I don't know who your diving with, Quessence diving has a dorm that I've stayed in when I dove with them.

conch on inn is fine mm89/ conch republic divers is great for dive ops

Where did you get the info on which hotels had bedbugs?

Trip Advisor has posts from travelers - good and bad. Very helpful when traveling to unfamiliar areas.

Here's a few ones to try.
Sunset Inn - 305-664-3454 MM 82
Ragged Edge - 305-852-5389 MM 86.5
Drop Anchor - 305-664-4863 MM 85

If those don't work let me know. I've got a ton more you can try. All these are clean small hotels.

Good Diving,
Capt Gary

We stayed at the Blue Lagoon Motel and liked it. It's nothing fancy and we saw no bed-bugs :D Any hotel can have a bad day and cheap is just that especially in an expensive area like Key West--raise your budget or lower your standards. I don't mind rats in my room but bugs won't work.
