Chatterton email on Movie

I emailed Mr. Chatterton for more details about the Shadow Divers Movie and here is his reply:

Marshall,

Thanks for your email. Rob did a wonderful job on the book and I expect Fox
to do it justice on the big screen. My best guess is that they will begin
shooting in the spring 2007, and release in 2008??? Richie and I will be
consulting, and our involvement is somewhat open at the time. Personally, I
want to be involved in the diving end.

God has already done pretty well by us. I wish you the best.

Cool. I've been curious about the film. I just finished the book a few weeks ago. Looking forward to 2008.

In another email a while back, Chatterton said that his character would be played by Meatloaf and Richie Kohler would be played by Danny DeVito.

He actually said that..... however I think everyone finds the humor in it

Richie made that same joke when I talked to them at a show earlier this year. As he was signing a poster for me I told him Danny was too good looking for the part. Richie looks at me and asks, "How many S's is smart@ss?"
