Both parts go inside and outside of your wrist seal. It’s a great system. A bit bulky but simple!

FYI... those SiTech rings may not be exactly the same as the Viking ones. Outer ring looks different to me.

Them, or Knock-Offs, they work very well.... No, they are not small......
