I have two MARES first stages (MR12, VR16) which have the DIN 200 bar adapters (European) and I'm currently buying HP steel tanks.

From my research I know that 300 bar (HP) adapters seem to be different (more threads) and therefore I would need to change the adapter.

Anybody have an idea where to get the adapters from (my LDS doesn't stock MARES products) and if the change can be done yourself (how?) or if 'professional help' will be needed.

Any feedback is highly appreciated.

You might want to try Diver's Supply. They carry Mares, but I heard they are getting out of it.

As for changing it yourself, it is very easy to do. You simply unscrew the old one with an Allen wrench.

Try Divers Direct, WWW.diversdirect.com. They sell Mares gear and should be able to get the adapter for you.

Enjoy the new tanks.

Thanks Guys

I have found the parts based on your input, they are backordered. Well I guess I'll have to wait to wet my shiny new tanks a bit ... :crawl:

I'll give the change a try myself.

Thanks again!
