You may have to keep the brass adapter that's there and add the g1/2 to npt adapter unless you have a friend with a lathe who can make the adapter for you. Adapter is easy to make if you have a lathe
Sensible although i'm struggling to find that adapter as well (i.e. G1/2 male to 1/4 NPT female) honestly who knew there were so many different threads. I wonder if it's easier to just buy a different T piece? Any ideas where you can pick up one of these from?

"G (supposedly from German/English “Gas”) are the cylindrical pipe threads with 55° apex angle used on originally inch based pipes.

BSPP thread is often referred to as “G” threads, the two types of thread are the same parallel straight, the threads are measured in threads per inch. Therefore, BSPP is the same as G."

The T-Piece is the same as the valve assemblies so you would be having the same issue getting the T piece to fit being funny threads. May be worth a trip to the local hydraulic shop with the brass adapter and just say " I need one of these to adapt to 1/4 fnpt, can you help me"
