14A.Installing the Yoke:
a. Insert the conical end of the filter into the threaded end of the inlet fitting. Install a new, lubricated o-ring into the end of the inlet fitting, around the filter. This is a static O-ring so it should be VERY LIGHTLY lubricated using Christo-Lube, Tribolube or another oxygen compatible lubricant. Silicone should not be used. If yours is missing, it's an #011, Viton or EPDM not Buna.
b. Place the filter shield into the end of the inlet fitting. Using circlip pliers, compress the c-clip and install it into the inlet fitting. Inspect the c-clip to make sure it is properly seated. "Properly" means flat-side out/rounded side in and fully locked into the groove cut into the inlet wall - if you install it backwards, it (and the filter) can pop out when you aren't looking, leaving the interior of the hp side of the first stage exposed to crud.
c. Remove the first-stage from the vise. Hold the first-stage with the inlet opening facing downward. Pass the inlet fitting through the yoke and screw it into the first stage body until finger tight. Secure the first-stage back in the vise with the yoke facing upward. Place the special inlet socket (pn 111001) over the inlet fitting. Attacha socket extension to a foot-pound torque wrench. Pass the socket extension through the top of the yoke and insert it into the socket. Tighten the inlet fitting to 18-20 foot-pounds. Remove the torque wrench and socket. No kidding, this requires a special thin wall socket - a normal socket won't fit. If you don't use the correct tool it is very easy to round off the nut. If you don't have a thin wall socket you can buy them from ScubaTools.com. Proper torque is 18fp - too little and it can come undone when you're underwater, too much and you can damage the threads or even crack the first stage body.
d. Slide the dust cap over the yoke knob threads with the Aqua Lung logo facing out-ward. Thread the yoke screw into the yoke. Do not lubricate the yoke screw - it attracts gunk.
Be careful learning about this kind of stuff on the internet. Even if you have the directions you may not learn everything you need to know.
