I define the Amber Coast the way Eyewitness Travel Guides do: Dominican Republic coastline from Puerto Plata to Rio San Juan. Of course I have seen all those store fronts along the main tourist strip in Sosua, but I do not know the quality. So... recommendations for someone who is not into fancy resorts, but expects quality instruction. Please limit replies only to the stated geographical area.
