I have never seen a slipper lobster in the Caymans, where did you find this one?

That Slipper was off the Brac., So is this Lizard fish. I've seen a number of seahorses also on the Brac. I have dove extensively off from the Brac (I have dove off Little Cayman and Grand Cayman as well...the last time was 2015) from 1988 until 2006 approximately one week to 10 days each year. The last two times on the Brac was 2012, and 2015. I've seen a lot of changes, most not for the better. I did skip a couple of years in there and went to Australia 2003 and 2005 one was a Liveaboard and another trip 2005 to New Britain on a Liveaboard, I've dove off from South Africa in 1999. I've also been to the Red Sea in Egypt.
Little Cayman and the Brac are about the best the Caribbean has to offer, my second choice is Turks and Caicos, but I haven't been there since 2004.

FWIW Kathy, Have seen both the Sculptured and the Spanish Slipper Lobsters diving Grand Cayman at night at all the NWPT sites, LHPT, TR, Hepps, and CC. The Sculptured are far more commonly seen than the Spanish.

One of the 7 species of shrimp that are more easily found while night diving on the Brac.
