Caving over Megadive weekend

Just wondering who is up for cave diving, when they will be arriving and what they want to do. Didnt want to drag the main thread on the megadive into this.

I am planning on getting there on friday 5/13, i am thinking of hitting CEE for a fill as soon as they open ~9.30am, in Ginnie later that day. Not sure if anyone wants to avoid Ginnie and just dive it saturday with the rest of the Conchs - the only other option is to hit manatee as the rest are still flooded out it seems. Any thoughts?

The others i have heard who are thinking of coming are:

MarkVlahos (sp?)
Jviehe + 2 intro buddies from scuba club - arriving in G-ville the night before, might be free to dive both days. Diving maybe friday and saturday.
Scubafool (if he gets his final dive in with GDI on saturday or friday night) - i heard he could either be there at 9 or 12 depending on whether he has to work that morning. Diving friday and saturday.
Smokeaire (although not sure if he is up for it yet)

Any others? What times are you guys getting there? I just dont want to sit around the campsite all day for nothing or to pay diving fees at Ginnie without using them if i can just organise who is thinking they will be free for diving at some point on those days.

I will drive down on Thursday (tomorrow) and arrive late in the afternoon or early evening. I will be staying at one of the hotels over by Floyds, in High springs. You really don't want to hear my snoring, so the hotel is good for all!

I will be renting doubles at CEE and picking them up early Friday morning. I certainly would like to do a cave dive on friday. Ginnie or Manatee is fine with me, I have some (limited) experience in both systems so I have no preference, I will yield to others wishes on site location. Too bad Peacock is flooded.

Since a former employer saw fit to publish my cell phone number elsewhere on the web I will freely give it out here (917) 825-1381, of course cell phones don't work so well at Ginnie, but mine does work in High Springs, so If you have trouble finding me give the cell a call, it might just work. I'll be in the red Toyota Prius (Virginia tags "Q 2 GO").

As soon as I have the tanks in my possetion I will be ready to dive, so Friday, Saturday, and Sunday are all days I plan on getting wet.

If ANYONE wants to do any CAVERNING in the Eye/Ear , let me know !!!!
That I can do legally ...
I need to get some more experience in the Ear's gallery anyway
(High flow etc...)

Heck, any time I get in the water I have fun I would love to do a CAVERN dive. I think Simbrooks and H2Andy are both intro but I very much look forward to diving with each of them.

As i said Scubafool will be around most of the time diving cavern and trying to perfect that mask off stuff, i am sure we will move around in the Eye and Ear a little as well as socialise around the ballroom with the others too.

Mark - i have your number, i'll PM mine to you and anyone else who wants it. I should be up around High Springs early if possible so we can get together there with John and get diving if no-one else is around. I dont mind manatee, but there is nowhere to fill there, so it might only be two dives (if we runs 1/6ths) before hitting 2000psi or so to enter yada yada - i need to renew my annual family pass anyway before i hit peacock when it reopens, can usually get others in free as well with it - even in seperate cars. However that and paying for Ginnie diving for two days might be taxing!

hehehe... hey, both Simon and I have done intro. cave dives together, and
we have BOTH survived, so we can't be all that bad


Simon: i am probably not going to be able to do any cave diving. an old friend of
mine is coming back to diving after a long lay off due to health, and i am going
to keep it simple with him, just the Ballroom and maybe the Ear.

Jean: both my friend Howard and you are cavern cert, so if you want to come with
us and do cavern dives, that would be awesome
