Agency doesnt make as much difference as the instructor does..

Instructor is important, but the agency is too. There are a few dive sites that won't accept certain cards,so caveat emptor. It would be a pity to show up at dive site ABC with card XYZ and told sorry.

Is there somewhere that maintains a list of who various sites accept?

Please, can you be more specific?
Will I have any problems with my IANTD card?

NSS CDS owns several sites.

WKPP have the key to several sites, gotta be Gooey for that door to open.

Diepolder doesn't recognize certain agencies, like Liteheaded stated.

cds doesn't require a cds cert for any of them as far as I know tho

No, it doesn't. To dive CDS managed sites one only needs to be a CDS member.

As for agency, most of the courses are the same. Some allow a little more than others as far as what can be done within standards in the cave level course. I currently teach cave through 4 different agencies, and with the exception of one, my course is the same regardless of which certification I'm going to issue. Interview instructors.

Last year four friends and I did a 8 day, NSS-CDS full cave, course with Cave Heaven in Playa Aventuras (about an hour south of Cancun). It was definitely a "working" vacation, and despite all being dive leaders (divemasters and instructors), the course was a challenge... Ela and Adam are extremely active cave divers, and incredibly passionate about passing on their knowledge. Agencies aside (I teach for four), I agree, the instructor is the thing...

Diepolder doesn't recognize GUE,and perhaps NAUI

Indian doesn't recognize NAUI

There may be more that elude me right now

I would be careful with PADI cave since not much is known, and many people have been critical of PADI cavern instructors-or at least requirements to become a PADI cavern instructor

I would be careful with PADI cave

The PADI cave teaching/course outline, exam and knowledge reviews are the most comprehensive training materials I have seen to date for cave diving. There are less than a dozen PADI cave diving instructors and all of them were NSS-CDS and/or NACD instructors prior to becoming PADI cave instructors too.
