Fencingfish and Orion612004 joined me for an after work dusk dive at Cathedral Rocks to take advantage of high tide. It was their first time diving there. There was a very slight swell as we approached and decided to dive it anyway. Vis was pretty good (15 - 20 fsw?) Water temp was very cool at max depth of 64 fsw. (44 to 46 degrees) In at 7:29 and 37 min BT. We surface swam a short distance in S. East heading. After a 15 min swim under, we got to the cool area with the majestic huge pink granite formations. I would have liked to have spent more time there but my flag got snagged on a line just as approached that area and didn't want to fight pulling it. I let out some of line so could go a bit further and had reached my turn point so we headed back. Saw a nice sized sea raven, Northern Red Anemone and school of Pollack? on way in. We surfaced to the right of entry point due to my bad navigation so we had a little surface swim back in. No problems getting back in as the tide was still higher than the landing you jump off on.
Sunset was at 8:15 so we timed it right so had plenty of light for climb out.
