Maybe around 2 1/2 ft lip to tail but they can get much bigger in some places - Northern Channel Islands. They also seem larger u/w.

Nice footage! Yes, the video shows some distinctive features that match the photos I took. What do you think his overall length is? I am not so good at judging fish size underwater yet.

Oscar taught me that "holy" wetsuits were OK but not "holy" gloves... he saw the whites of my knuckles poking through the holes in my left glove and thought they were bivalves or something else tasty.
