I have used steel fitting for 40 years and the only issue is they will get some surface rust on them. Jim Shelden

so is this, the results I guess of following such a statement.:)

I had a couple of parts(little elbows mainly) that I couldn't find for the life of me in stainless steel. I know it's not as good as SS, but the plan is to monitor for surface rust and if it occurs, check inside to ensure its not internally as well. That isn't ideal, but at the time I had no choice. Do I see it being a problem in the next year or two? Probably not.
